Madonna is still uncharacteristically silent over M.I.A. upstaging her performance during the Super Bowl halftime show but the Queen of Pop has announced dates for her 2012-13 world tour, which starts in Tel Aviv, Israel, on May 29, hits North America in August, and ends in Australia in early 2013.
Whatever you made of Madonna's Super Bowl halftime show (some people loved it, some were mixedand some looked like they'd rather be elsewhere), it got your attention. The pop icon's next move is a new album, "MDNA," destined to be one of the year's most talked-about releases. And now she has a world tour to accompany it.
The Material Girl just posted dates for a six-month jaunt through the Middle East, Europe and North America, with a Staples Center date on Oct. 10 (and Australian and South American dates to come). Tickets for the L.A. stop are on sale Feb. 13, and the album hits stores March 26. Any errant football players that stand in her way will surely be dispatched immediately.

Super Bowl halftime show and the finger
Madonna halftime show was great. Nonetheless her Super Bowl halftime show 2012 created some controversy due to finger malfunction
Super Bowl is a busy time for NBC and this year's super bowl halftime was taken up by Madonna's extravagant single. All this is being argued to have been outshone by a rude gesture by British singer M.I.A., who was a guest performer in Madonna's Super Bowl halftime show.
The singer showed a finger on air accompanying it with an expletive during a performance of Madonna's new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin.'" When her line had ended, M.I.A. appeared to sing "I don't give a (expletive)," and made the gesture in the show that is routinely viewed by more than 100 million people in the biggest TV event of the year.
NBC tried to cover up the incident by briefly making the screen go blurred, but it was already too late by less than a second.
This was Madonna's biggest performance, as she performed her single to the biggest audience of her career. Besides NBC, the performance was aired live on SiriusXM Radio, thankfully the finger incident was less conspicuous there.
