American Idols Steven Tyler Planned Engagement Early Details On The Ring

Aerosmith singer and American Idol judge Steven Tyler is officially engaged to Erin Brady, his girlfriend of five years, and Tyler's longtime jewelry designer is sharing all the details about the noteworthy rock that Tyler's been planning to surprise her with for quite some time now.


Jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, whose celebrity clients also include Cher, Elton John, Madonna and Keith Richard, designed the engagement ring that Steven Tyler gave to his 38-year-old girlfriend, Erin Brady: a 5-carat round, brilliant-cut diamond, sitting on a platinum band adorned with a carat of micropavé diamonds.


Rodkin in the interview to Us Weekly said that, "Having made Steven's jewelry for so many of the past years it was an honor to be part of his future...with all my love to Steven and Erin." According to his longtime jeweler and contrary to the knowledge of his family members, the American Idol judge had been planning to pop the surprise question to Erin for a while. Despite his busy work and travel schedules, he coordinated the details with Rodkin in Los Angeles via text.


Erin brady told to People about her and Tyler conversatioins that, "He was working, so I picked stones, built settings, showed him choices and sent him pictures on his phone. He asked for guidance but the choice was his. Having made jewelry for both Erin and Steven made it an effortless process, as I know their taste."
